Rev. Darryl Dayson

Rev. Darryl Dayson is an Elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, with over 10 years of dedicated service to various congregations. He currently serves at South Tryon Community UMC, where he is deeply passionate about connecting the church with the community through relationship-building and recognizing God’s active presence in the neighborhood.

A proud graduate of Appalachian State University and Duke Divinity School, Rev. Dayson strives to lead the church in becoming a reflection of the diverse, intersecting beauty of humanity and the rest of God’s creation. He envisions a congregation that stands in solidarity with, and advocates for, those who have been marginalized.

In addition to his pastoral work, Rev. Dayson has served on the Western North Carolina Conference’s General Conference Delegation and is the Presiding Elder for the Metro District. He also a facilitator in the Residency in Ordained Ministry program, supporting the development of future clergy.

Rev. Dayson’s greatest blessing is being married to Rev. Jessica Dayson, Pastor of Lay Involvement at Myers Park United Methodist Church, and being the father of Malachi, Levi, and Zora Dayson.
