Our vision
A neighborhood church transforming lives with love, justice, and community.
A shared meal, twice a week.
We set the tables in the fellowship hall on Tuesday and Thursday and eat together at 11:30. Anyone can come. There's always enough, and you don't have to sign anything, prove anything, or belong to this church.
Somebody usually prays before we start. People stay and talk long after the plates are cleared.
More about the table
Eleven o'clock, about an hour and fifteen minutes.
Communion is the first Sunday of the month and the table is open. You don't have to be a member and you don't have to have your life in order.
People show up in work clothes, in Sunday clothes, and in whatever they had on. All of that is fine.
What to expect
Brookhill Village and Southside Homes.
Families have made their lives on this ground for generations. Some of our neighbors grew up here together; others came and stayed twenty years or more. When Brookhill residents were surveyed a few years back, what they named first wasn't a shortage of anything. It was being close to family, close to work, and close to a place of worship, and knowing that people here look out for each other.
Rising rents and redevelopment are pressing hard against all of that. We work alongside neighbors who intend to stay.
